I saw several members of this list at Alverna
Center today...thank you very much for coming...and congratulations to Penny
Breightlow, this year's Thomas Stark Award winner.
United Way reached 90% of goal. We have to do
better...but by any measure raising $360,000 is a laudable achievement.
Thanks to all of you who have supported, and continue to support, United
Way. The LaCrosse United Way exceeded their goal of $1,600,000...by a
thousand bucks...smiles...but they made it. So did Rochester and Red
Wing. There are numerous volunteer opportunities for you with United
Way. Can you please call 452-4624 or email [EMAIL PROTECTED] and let us know how you
can help? We can help our new president Justin Green make goal this fall
if we all work together. There's a United Way committee that needs you...I
guarantee it!
If you missed the party today, plan on attending
next year. Find out more about United Way and how important it is in our
community. United Way's 27 member agencies provide service to 1 in 3
Winonans annually. These folks do good work and deserve our
support.
