[Winona Online Democracy]
This is a copy of the press release I sent out regarding the Friends annual meeting. I am alerting Online Democracy subscribers because I hope that there are people who are not only concerned about the funding problems that our libraries are experiencing statewide, but also problems that our own library faces due to lack of space. This is an opportunity for library enthusiasts to learn about the research our library director has been doing in order to improve services to the public. If access to information is important to you, please attend!

Friends of the Winona Public Library Hold Annual Meeting at Library
Join the Friends on Thursday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m. for an important discussion led by Winona Public Library Director Jim Stetina about plans for a potential library expansion . As many community members understand and experience, the Winona Public Library is seriously short of space, and the vacant east building of the former Middle School may provide an opportunity to use some of that available space. Come with your questions, comments, and discuss the possiblities with us! There will also be a reception for photographer Frank Brueske and his exhibit, “Vintage America,” in the Bell Art Room. Refreshments will be served. No prior registration is required.
