FYI:
Sharon's decision was announced via the
minutes from the 4/13 steering committee meeting posted to the list on
4/14. Below is the second paragraph in it's entirety. The first paragraph
was basically a list of the 4 agenda items.
"1. Seeking volunteer to be co-facilitator - We're reminded of how fast
time flies. Sharon Ropes signed up for a 6 month stint approximately 18
months ago. Sharon is president elect of the MN PTA among a host of other
civic involvement roles and would like to step down as co- facilitator. If
you're interested in serving with Kathy Seifert- please contact her( kaseifert at
hotmail.com) about the nature of the duties of being a facilitator for WOD-
a vital role and one we don't appreciate enough. Thank you Sharon for all you've
given to WOD."
I guess I'm just trying to answer the question,
"How were we to know?"
I only realized that list members might not know
when a member recently referred to the "facilitators" as "ladies". I went
back to look at the archives and found the notation above, but no
other recognition of everything Sharon has provided to WOD. The
steering committee met today and I was reminded of this fact and volunteered to
make another note of the change.
I'm wondering what folks make of this information
seemingly having not entered the awareness of list members?

So how were we to know that Sharon had stepped

(Sharon's)
generosity of time and her civilized approach to
issues. THANK YOU, SHARON.

It has come to my attention recently that
Sharon Ropes' decision to step down from being my partner in co-facilitation
of WOD seems to have passed without much fanfare or notice of list members,
so I wanted to officially says thanks to Sharon for serving well beyond the
6 month committment to co-facilitate with me! Gosh knows I miss having
a consultant with whom to confer regarding how to approach difficult
situations. Mostly I'll miss having that common bond as a guarantee of
her splendid company from time to time--on or off line!
Hats off to you, Sharon, and thanks for all of
your enthusiasm for WOD. Hope you will continue to participate with
WOD and will keep posting your perspectives for all of us to
read!
So now I'm wondering who the next
facilitator(s) will be? Anyone interested? Let me
know.
Kathy Seifert
