Contacts: Lynn Theurer (454-1680) and Pat Nolan ( 454-1507) LWV Winona Unit PRIMARY CANDIDATE FORUMS FOR CITY COUNCIL AND WINONA AREA PUBLIC SCHOOLS SET The League of Women Voters, Winona Unit is co-sponsoring a candidate forum with the Women�s Resource Center of Winona, the American Association of University Women, Winona Area PTA Council and Winona On-Line Democracy. They invite the public to participate in this forum. Written questions to the candidates will be generated from the audience in attendance. The two primary candidate forums will be; 1. for the Winona City Council races on Wednesday September 1, and 2. for the Winona Area Public Schools on Wednesday September 8. Both forums begin at 7:00 PM in the council chambers of the Winona City Hall, 4th and Lafayette Streets in Winona. The forums will be broadcast live on public access cable TV Channels for Charter and HBCI. Radio and newspaper media are also invited to attend. During the televised forum, a telephone line to call in questions will be available. The League of Women Voters, Winona Unit, Women�s Resource Center of Winona, the American Association of University Women, Winona Area PTA Council and Winona On-Line Democracy encourage all voters to go and vote on the Primary Election Day, September 14th, 2004. Absentee ballot and or voter registration information is available from the Winona County Auditors Office, Winona County Government Center, First Floor, and 177 Main Street, Winona, MN.
