[Winona Online Democracy] I assume that in order to promote the tax, City Hall will compile a more detailed and prioritized list of the projects to be funded. I also assume that number one on the list will be the Louisa Street overpass with its truck route connection to Riverbend and Hwy 43 via Holiday Inn's south parking lot. (our trucking industry seems to enjoy much clout here) A Huff Street underpass doesn't seem warranted unless that's included to sweeten the deal for those always in a hurry.
I can understand how undefined 'cultural' expenditures would be a cause for concern. I would be, except I'm confident that my pet transportation related scheme for a paddle-wheel ferry for bicycles between downtown and Latch Island would rate higher on the list. John N.
