Robert,
I took the opportunity to visit your
neighborhood tonight. I couldn't help but notice the
three vehicles parked in your back yard near the garage.
This city has enough real problems without creating ones that don't exist.
So, may I kindly suggest you more wisely use the resources you have
(garage/alley) and leave the street parking for the kind people visiting our
community for the swim meet. The streets are for all public use and I am
sure the lines on the street enable the vehicles to better utilize the minimum
amount of space available.
May I also (kindly) suggest
you check on city ordinances regarding the parking of junk/unlicensed
vehicles on private property. You may have a violation or three in
your own back yard.
Greg

Subject: [Winona] Closing the Swiming
pool for the weekend.
[Winona Online Democracy]
We who live in the area of the Aquatic Center are
or must (By th City Government)be considered 2nd class Citizens.
The parking in front of my home is upsurped by Swim Club Meet Partons and we
have to hunt for parking places as Residents. Plus apparently we who live here
do not know how to Park. The City has come through and painted lines on the
Street to show where and how to park. I was against having the pool here
because I knew what would happen but supposedly wiser heads than mine pushed
it through and all Summert we have to fight for places to park in fron of our
own homes. Now before someone says you knew about this before you moved there.
Allow me to mention that as a native Winonan I have only live in 4 places in
this city, The 600 Block of West third street, Where I live now and 2
apartment in the Thurley Homes. This is since 1934.
This is highly distressing. Robert P
