Americans pay so little for their gasoline compared to Europeans, that I
would suggest that the complainers consider WHY we pay less. Consider what
the USA pays for petrol in terms other than by-the-barrel, namely the
defense and support of the territory that sits on top of the oil, including
one Middle East nation that produces no oil at all. We pay for gas in our
income tax in the form of defense spending, diplomatic gifts and American
lives and health. In my humble opinion, it's not worth it.
Not buying gas this Thursday won't make a difference. If you want to make
the difference, then stop buying gas entirely.
