I don't know what effort are being made locally other than what is in the paper but it seems to me that we could handle at least 1000 kids in our k-12 schools, make use of an armory that sits vacant on Sarnia, fill up lots of available rental units, increase or provide some real job skills training that will need to rebuild their cities at SE Technical, pump up the use and numbers at the Airport TC campus just to name a few of the many assets we have to offer as a community. Add to that abundant regional healthcare and higher education including Saint T's facilities and we might be able to do some good. As someone said to me today-- who would ever build a city on land lower than the lake and the river which surrounds them and think that it wouldn't flood someday!
