The numbers presented previously do not point out the cancellation of the current levy .  Per the sheet handed out at the informational meeting 9/21:

For a $100,000 home there will be a cancellation of the current $93 levy.  Question 1 will mean a $293 impact, question 2 a $200 impact and question 3 a $17 impact - a total of $510 - a net impact of $417.

For a $150,000 home there will be a cancellation of the current $140 levy.  Question 1 will mean a $439 impact, question 2 a $299 impact and question 3 a $25 impact - a total of $763 - a net impact of $623.

Another way to look at it:
Current levy generates about $2.5 million each year, the proposed levy will generate about $3.7.  Over the 6 year life of the levy we can look at replacing many of the items cut over the past 5+ years.  Additionally, because we've forced the district to be creative (think of the $70,000 printing cost savings announced at the last board meeting) we should be able to see more of that additional money being spent on the kids.

After all, that is what it's all about - THE KIDS.
