[Winona Online Democracy]
Who owns the Middle School Auditorium currently? I doubt that it has enough
seats and the capacity for other needs for a theatre company - scenic shop,
costume shop, properties storage, scene and lighting storage, offices for
stage management and producers, green room, etc...

The gossip on the street for the last few years has been that the Old Middle
School Auditorium was going to be used with the two or three blocks that
rest between it and the Courthouse where to be leveled for parking. It is
only in a recent post that a river location was being pushed and the desire
to repackage the deal to a "Civic Auditorium" that has changed the focus. I
too have hear, for those who better understand, that the Acoustics in the
old structure are great.
