[Winona Online Democracy]
I believe that the answer is
simple.
Unfortunately, bad news or better yet,
terrifying news sells better than good news. I may be
oversimplifying.
Something I personally enjoy discussing when I'm able:
Why does the American media since WW2 try to terrify the public
with it's reporting?
It does not cover much of the REAL good America, which is
everywhere if you look for it, but tends to prefer to make the public fearful
and distrusting of their government.
I realize that a fearful public is easier to control than a bunch of free
thinkers.
Any other suggestions?
