It seems that for some reason it's impossible to remove or overwrite
c:\WINNT\System32\drivers\npf.sys.
You can try to remove it by hand and then retry to uninistall the old
winpcap and install the new one.

Subject: [WinPcap-users] Problems installing the version 2.3 of WinPcap

Dear

I am actually working on a Windows 2000 PC and I am getting
under troubles installing the latest version of WinPcap (2.3).
I am running the setup as administrator.
It is impossible for it to unpack "npf.sys" into
the "c:\WINNT\System32\drivers\" due to this problem the
installation abort.

The setup display "Unpacking error : Cannot install
file "c:\WINNT\System32\drivers\npf.sys"

"WinPcap 2.3 hasn't been properly installed and will not work
correctly if you try to use it.

In the same way, I have got an old version of WinPcap (2.2)
which is impossible to be removed.
The uninstaller display "Unable to locate/process internal
binary ressource. Please contact your sofware vendor."

Have no solution expect installing the new version because the
older is not working anymore.

I will be please if could send me any solution to this
problem.

I am waiting to hearing from you.

Best regard,

JP
