Hello all, I have been in touch with the developers of a software-based protocol analyzer called Ethereal. My question for them was whether or not their product supports decode of HDLC. The answer was basically "if WinPcap supports it." I'm interested decoding HDLC on a laptop through a PCMCIA card. The manufacturer claims that the card supports HDLC, but that it is mainly intended to support an application used to read data from aircraft black boxes. I'm unclear as to how it all fits together (I'm really a networks guy with a limited software background). Does any of this make sense, and in short, does WinPcap "support" HDLC?
