I've released a generical traffic generator that get an ascii string of a packet and send it out using pcap_sendpacket function of wpcap.dll.
I've used the program to Send ARP and IS-IS packet and it works good but when i use it to send a ping packet to a router it doesn't work. I first send a ping from the same PC using "ping" command of the shell and all works, i get it with Etheral and i copy it in my software to send. The router get the packet with no error but not send it out Looking with ethereal the packet are the same. Please help me, next week i've to present this work as part of my thesis job and i don't know how to explain why i use Windows to send packet ================================================================== This is the WinPcap users list.
