[WinPcap-users] Beginner in distress

hi, im new to winpcap and network programming. i want to make an application that captures all packets coming to my pc and interprets the payload of each packet. i am able to capture the packets, but i get all hexadecimal numbers and stuff which i dont understand. i want to do something like match a string i have with the content of the incoming packets, so i need a way to change all the hexadecimal data to something i can read. i hope i'm making sense.
