Hi, I have Windows 98. I require capturing packets on 2 different interfaces but the network cards are from the same manufacturer and therefore give the same interface name. They both have different mac and IP addresses.
windump -D 1.DLKFET (D-Link DFE-530TX PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter) 2.DLKFET (D-Link DFE-530TX PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter) If I run the example program testapp it always chooses the first one, due, presumably, to CreateFile (nAdapter->SymbolicLink, ...) in Packet32.c . I have also noticed this problem with Ethereal. Is there a way of enumerating the adapters and choosing one by a unique identifier?
