I use wireless lan packet capture by libpcap in linux and winpcap in win2000
pro.
Something is strange.
In linux wlan capture by libpcap, I can only capture the packet of
ARP,ICMP,UDP.
and the most important tcp traffic can't, and the dest ip address is often wrong ,such
as
10.13.81.255, 255.255.255.255 etc.
I just use tcpdump to confirm my result ,and the result of tcpdump is same.
my wireless adapter is Cisco Aironet PCM 352, Red hat 7.2 ,kernel 2.4.7-10, tcpdump
- 3.6.2-9
lippcap-0.7.1 , pcmcia-cs-3.1.26 .
On the other side , In win2000 pro wlan capture by winpcap,I can only capture
the local traffic.
Not all the shared traffic. I use winpcap_3_0_a4, the adapter is same.
Anyone's help is appreciated!
