I'm beginning to use SIMH with Winpcap and I experience the following problem: - using a Dell TrueMobile 1150 wireless card, I can ping between the WinXP notebook and SIMH/VMS (both ways). - connections to machines outside of my notebook don't work (according to Windump I seem to be sending, but no packets to my SIMH MAC-Address come back).
I have installed WinPcap_3_01a.
When I switched to a PCMCIA Xircom combo card with wire Ethernet, everything worked great! Therefore, I suspect some problem with the TrueMobile 1150 promiscuous mode. (I have the latest drivers and firmware for the 1150 that are available from Dell).
