Proabably you know, but...
I am also using Winpcap to snoop in a bridge, but I implement the bridge with Windows XP, which supports bridged mode. I tested it performancewise, and to my knowledge, the bottlenecks I found are those of the NIC performance, which occur also in non-bridged-mode.
IF your purpose is merely to have a PC bridging, then you have an easy way.
