Hello,
I'm a french Wireguard user (since september 2018). Everything was fine until
this morning...
My system is LinuxMint 19 (Tara), and I've just proceed to an update of my
system....
So, this new update provides 'wireguard-dkms 0.0.20181115-1' and
'wireguard-tools 0.0.20181115-1'.
It seems there's a problem in this module, once compiled for the current
kernel...
As I can read in some other users mails, the result
of "modprobe wireguard" is :
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'wireguard': Unknown symbol in module, or
unknown parameter (see dmesg)
then dmesg gives :
[ 3780.845672] wireguard: Unknown symbol poly1305_blocks_avx (err 0)
[ 3780.845733] wireguard: Unknown symbol poly1305_emit_avx (err 0)
[ 3780.845793] wireguard: Unknown symbol poly1305_blocks_avx512 (err 0)

[ 3780.845967] wireguard: Unknown symbol chacha20_avx2 (err 0)
[ 3780.846054] wireguard: Unknown symbol poly1305_blocks_avx2 (err 0)
[ 3780.846130] wireguard: Unknown symbol chacha20_avx512 (err 0)
The problem seems to be the same that Tosh and Egbert have reported...
I've also rebooted, but does not solve the problem...
My kernel version : -> uname -a :
Linux noComp 4.15.0-39-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 23 15:48:01 UTC 2018
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I'm really a newbie concerning kernel and modules... so, I don't really know
how to help to find the solution...
but I'm happy this maillist exists !
