This seems to be an issue with a lot of VPN apps . I don't know if it can be fixed on the application side.
I'm not sure if this is a issue on the system side or on the apllication
side.
Since the newest Android 12 Beta 4 Wireguard is establishing a
connection but not data transfer is possible.
A ping to the host is also not possible. There's an offical issue here
at the Google Issuetracker:
