I think "both" is a good idea, if feasible.  But we have facilities both ways and the 
wired connections do not get a lot of use (with occasional rare exceptions).  We have 
no measure of the wireless use, but wireless use all over campus is definitely on the 
increase and people are beginning to "think" wireless instead of trying to find a 
wired port.

Finally, I think that power to the seats is good.  That is the single largest 
complaint we get about wireless - the lack of power to common areas where people use 
their laptops coupled with the fact that laptop batteries run down so fast.  

But if you haven't pulled the power cables, why not do both at the same time?  The 
cost of pulling the extra cable should not be that much?
