We have put wired and wireless connections in our new student apartments, wireless only in our residence halls, and wired only in the married student apartments. Mobility computing and collaborative work are better supported with wireless, while the wired connections are really suited to individual endeavors. One issue is that wireless works fine until the lofts are built and the bookcases are filled in the rooms - then you have to go back and adjust. But anecdotally it is going fine. You remind me we need to do a follow up survey!
