I defined data rate as the connection speed to the access point......11mbps 5.5mbps 2mbps or 1mbps. Depending on the technology used
Coverage was defined as total building coverage in my scenario. Some clients may only want certain areas covered such as conference rooms or gathering areas. I didn't define data rate as actual throughput to each user, because this can get tricky because of clients location to the access point and any interference that may be caused by outside sources.
