We have had great success with the CiscoVPN client for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Simple
install and a very clean upgrade process. We started 4 years ago with v3.5 of
the client and
have ben upgrading on a continual basis. Also the auto-upgrade feature of the
concentrator
works pretty well.

the native
clients use client user name and password only, and a pre-share, but the Nortel
box works
off of Group ID and Password along with client credentials.

free IPSec
client for Mac/Linux for use with their boxes.)
