Any type of knowledge is always worth the trouble.

Is it worth the money?

Are you a Cisco shop?
Have you committed to buying the equipment?

You may not have to spend a dime on the class. If you are a Cisco shop
or you have committed to buying a large number of APs ($400 per unit)
and controllers ($30,000 per unit) there should not be any reason as to
why Cisco does not provide the training for you at one of the training
centers. We cashed that chip in the minute they gave us a chance.

You also have to keep in mind that there are ALWAYS things that are not
covered in the class that you will have to figure out on your own. If
the class covered everything then these things would configure
themselves and we would be out of a job. For instance I do not remember
the instructor talking about how DHCP Option 43 allows you to pass the
IP address of the controller to the AP inside the DHCP packet. They may
have changed this in more recent courses. But I do not remember them
talking about any of this.

What I would suggest to you is for you to take the course, even if you
have to pay for it so that you have a general idea of what you are
working with. And if during your deployment you have any questions,
there is enough experience in this forum for you to obtain enough
opinions about your problems, where you can make an educated decision on
a viable solution. And one good thing here is that you will get a
response faster than Cisco TAC. :-)

Thanks.
