One vendor with whom I've talked to about dense wireless deployment was able to drum up 20+ customers using a four-channel design overnight. I was somewhat surprised as I thought this practice had long fallen out of favor due to the adjacent channel issues.
To those who are not familiar, a four-channel design in the 2.4 GHz frequency uses channels 1, 4, 7, and 11 OR 1, 4, 8, and 11.
