  I have had trouble with this as well.  I have my switch ports
monitored and labeled (although my installation is probably much smaller
than yours) and that is how I keep track of up/down events.

Revisiting a topic from a couple weeks back...

I have my controllers trapping to a receiver that has the recommended
MIBs compiled- but still not getting these traps as lean and valuable as
I'd like- looking for simple AP went down/up type stuff- wondering if
anyone else has found a way to get meaningful traps?
