WIRELESS INFRASTRUCTURE AND NETWORK SECURITY ENGINEER (Information
Technology Specialist II) (#00251W) Information Technology. Provide
leadership/coordination in design, implementation and maintenance of RU
wireless network and network security software/hardware. Responsible for
coordinating installation, management, maintenance, availability and
performance of all campus wireless network devices, Clean Access,
firewall modules, and router access control lists. Serve as backup to
Network Engineer in configuration and maintenance of routers and
switches. Work Hours: Occasional weekend or off hours work required to
perform updates and installations. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP communications, 802.11
wireless networking, wireless encryption, routing protocols (RIP, OSPF,
& BGP), and network security. Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and Windows
operating systems. Demonstrated ability to evaluate, design, test,
implement (install and configure), and troubleshoot data networking
hardware/software in a complex multi-campus converged data/voice/video
network. Ability to configure and utilize diagnostic tools to analyze,
identify and resolve telecommunications problems. Experience designing
and managing enterprise firewalls and technology projects preferred.
Demonstrated ability to think logically, solve problems in a fast paced
team environment and communicate technical issues effectively both
orally and in writing. Cisco CCNA certification with considerable
experience with Cisco IOS operating system desirable. Knowledge of Cisco
Clean Access, Wireless Services Modules, and Wireless Control System
preferred. Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering, or related fields preferred. Normal Starting Salary Range:
$47,066 - $53,000 (Pay Band 5).
