Nick:

By definition from the IEEE, 802.11 runs at 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, all in
unlicensed frequency bands. Part 15 says that they must accept
interference. If you're looking for a licensed frequency that runs like
Wi-Fi, if it's a public safety application you may be able to use the 4.9
GHz range.

Frank

Subject: [WIRELESS-LAN] Question about long distance wifi

I'm looking into using a different frequency range then
802.11 b/g for clients.
I would like to use a different frequency then 2.4ghz because of
interference.
The distance to clients would be 100-200 meters clear line of site.
I would like to be able to give at least a 10 Mbits wireless connection
to each client.

Any suggestions on equipment that could handle this?
