In looking at the settings of my iphone it supports WPA and WPA2. It
doesn't say if it is psk or not nor does it indicate EAP types that
are supported or there inner protocols. I haven't tried any testing
with it yet but it appears that it may have some support.

This brings up the point of a very interesting philosophy of mine.
Never buy a first generation device. No matter how groundbreaking
the device might be, it always tends to lack extra features that
make the device more ergonomic and adaptable.

This bring up a good argument to maintain a "lowest common

soon to be 1x only IMHO...
If you don't also provide a common network, people will critisize you
for making your network more complicated that the average hotspot at
the airport or coffee shop and you effectively create a "denial of
service" condition. :-)
Include the name "insecure" in the SSID just in case the device
doesn't warn users.

It looks like the iPhone doesn't support 1x. We plan to be all 1x

We are also apparently already getting calls about wireless
support for the
iPhone and anticipate that a lot of students will come in with them.
Does anyone know if Apple has any plans to support 802.1x?
