Colleagues, Dewitt Latimer (University of Notre Dame), who has served as leader of the Wireless Local Area Networking Constituent Group (CG) <http://www.educause.edu/groups/wireless-lan> for more than six years, is stepping down from this role. On behalf of the EDUCAUSE leadership, I want to sincerely thank Dewitt for his fine service to this group and to the association in many other capacities over the years.
Philippe (Phil) Hanset (The University of Tennessee) and Douglas (Doug) Jackson (California State University, Sacramento)--no strangers to the list's discussions--have kindly agreed to become co-leaders. Let me mention that while there is no formal meeting of the Wireless-LAN CG at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference in Seattle later this month, anyone who is attending the conference has the opportunity to propose a Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) meeting on this or any IT-related topic. BOFs will be held 4:55-6:10 p.m. on either Wednesday, Oct. 24, or Thursday, Oct. 25. Sheets for proposing BOFs and for signing up to attend will be on a bulletin board in the registration lobby.
