I want to re-emphasize to you...I am a REPORTER for "Network World" and NOT a 
university IT staffer. 
 
My intent is to write a story to give our audience (which includes higher 
education IT) some resources for automating WLAN client configuration.
 
Was that clear in my email to you?
 
Secondly, when we talk about automating client configurations...are these about 
the wireless/802.11 settings and paramters on mobile clients or are these about 
the 802.1x/authentication/security settings (which would also be an issue for 
wireline clients)?

Here are two articles that talk about automating WZC config for XP using the 
aruba tool and a generic way to script Macs:  I would not normally post these 
but I think there is enough interest to warrant it.
