I take all product announcements on 4/1 to be a hoax until proven otherwise. While a 3G 32GB iPhone is something highly anticipated and demanded by consumers, posting an announcement about it on 4/1 just screams "fool".
In this case, I hope I'm the fool. We may have both been duped! Interestingly (for those who care that much) this one ran yesterday and had folks talking on the same topic: http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2008/03/bank-of-america.html So... this is now uncorroborated speculation- and I apologize for the spam.
