If anybody has any information it would be greatly appreciated. I would like to know the following: 1) What are you using the RFID tags to track? Student attendance 2) What prompted the decision to go to RFID tags? Too many administrative concerns with paper based or manula computer input systems 3) What security concerns do you have with RFID tags? The RFID chip is located on the student ID card - so the concern is more with the loss of a card rather than exploits with the chip. The rfid chip alone merely interfaces with the attendance database so no actual personal detail is stored just a student ID number. We will be enabling encription. Our issue is with students who may try to circumvent the system by entering with anothers card - but this hasn't happened yet. Thanks very much Stephen Holland Northeastern University ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/. ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/.
