We put wireless into an historic house in town. For cosmetic reasons we
didn't want to locate access points in plain sight. Without going into
the details of our particular installation (low-loss coax, splitters,
multiple antennas), have a look at the floor and ceiling construction.
We got good signal from below through the wood flooring rather than
through the wall masonry...
