We are running 4.2.130 as suggested by Cisco. It is very stable so far for us.

Subject: Re: [WIRELESS-LAN] stable code version for WLC ....5.1??

We are running 5.1 with 5 4404 controllers and around 350 1242ag waps.
It's not perfect, but it does work pretty well. Not too many wireless
complaints from my community.
