testimonials on large WCS applications used in the virtual environment.

The data sheet for WCS[1] mentions recommended hardware specs,
including when in a VMWare environment. It's down the bottom, under
"Product Specifications":

"VMware ESX Server 3.0.1 or later. (Minimum hardware requirements
for a dedicated and guaranteed VMware server: Intel(r) Xeon Quad CPU;
3.15 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 200 GB HDD)"

The WCS FAQ also says basically the same thing, but more
emphatically "yes, VMWare is supported".
