Lee,

I should have added that with are WCS on ESX that I rarely see the CPU Util
above 1%, Disk i/o is low, as is the memory footprint. Looks like the only
load comes when running reports.

My Cisco SE commented that it was the best performing WCS he had come across.
Of course, the ESX box is dual quad-core 3GHz with 8GB RAM, but again, the load
from WCS is almost non-existent.

Jeff

Thanks, all. I know that it is supported, more looking for real-world
testimonials on large WCS applications used in the virtual environment.

The data sheet for WCS[1] mentions recommended hardware specs,
including when in a VMWare environment. It's down the bottom, under
"Product Specifications":

"VMware ESX Server 3.0.1 or later. (Minimum hardware requirements
for a dedicated and guaranteed VMware server: Intel(r) Xeon Quad CPU;
3.15 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 200 GB HDD)"

The WCS FAQ also says basically the same thing, but more
emphatically "yes, VMWare is supported".
