Thanks you all for providing the valuable information. I do have Cisco 1242 APs. I am trying to get some information (it take a while for my Cisco SE to response to me, I am still waiting) on converting 2 thin 1242 APs to IOS APs and then configure one of them as an IOS WGB. I hope this set up will work with 1000 ft range.
Also, anyone has any experience or comment on EnGenius outdoor bridge (EOC-3220 EXT)? Thanks again, everyone! Cisco's fibre backed power injectors have been quite useful for us, getting connectivity where we wanted. -- ian ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/. __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 3931 (20090312) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 3931 (20090312) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/.
