Thanks you all for providing the valuable information. 
I do have Cisco 1242 APs. I am trying to get some information (it take a
while for my Cisco SE to response to me, I am still waiting) on converting
2 thin 1242 APs to IOS APs and then configure one of them as an IOS WGB. 
I hope this set up will work with 1000 ft range. 


Also, anyone has any experience or comment on EnGenius outdoor bridge
(EOC-3220 EXT)?

We have that too, with 1231's. They're in use, and have been for a 
while. Cisco's fibre backed power injectors have been quite useful for 
us, getting connectivity where we wanted.
