It appears to be an OS 3.0 thing. I have the same problem on my 3G. The store description says they have a 3.0-ready version waiting for approval though.

The App store description states that it's name has changed it is now called WiFi Checker. The author was audited by Apple, and the product was pulled because of their new rules around private API’s (I’ve been in touch with him via email). I’m using wififofum and wifitrack now, which are fairly equivalent products, and I suspect it’s only a matter of time before Apple catches up to them as well and pulls them. I hope one of the three revamps their code with public API’s or whatever!!! -Tim --- Tim Cantin, Senior Network Engineer Wellesley College, IS / Technology Infrastructure 223 Simpson Hall East, 106 Central Street Wellesley, Massachusetts 02481-8203 http://www.wellesley.edu/~tcantin/ <http://www.wellesley.edu/%7Etcantin/> phone: (781)283-3520 fax: (781)283-3682 From: The EDUCAUSE Wireless Issues Constituent Group Listserv [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Nancy Watson Sent: Friday, July 10, 2009 3:22 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [WIRELESS-LAN] Good Wifi sniffer for IPhone I use wififofum, there is wifi track and wifi finder which i have used also.
