Is anyone having problems with the 3rd (newest) generation iPod Touch?

Our "device" wireless network is running mixed mode WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK security
with the lower data rates enabled (1, 2, 5.5) to support the Nintendo Wii.

Two people in our IT department have 3rd generation iPod Touches with the
latest software version. They get inconsistent connections. Sometimes they
connect, sometimes they don't. When they connect it works fine as long as they
stay connected. Diagnostics show the problem to be a timeout during the 4-way
security handshake.

At first I suspected the mixed mode security, so I created a test network with
WPA2-PSK only. This worked great, but then I enabled the lower data rates to
make it like our device network and the problems started again.

Has anyone else seen this problem? It seems to only affect 3rd gen iPods. We
have lots of 2nd gen iPods with no issues at all.
