We have a DAS installation that runs Wi-Fi and cellular. This was designed and installed when the building was being built. The Wi-Fi signal is consistent throughout the entire building and carries all 3 (.11g/b) everywhere. It's been running for 2+ years without any issues. The only notable limitations is AP placement is determined more by the antenna then your preference and we have to upgrade the interface with the ap and the DAS to go to .11n. The Cellular has worked with no issue.

We at UC Hastings were approached by a company that specializes in DAS installations. Their DAS solution supports all carriers. They are offering us a free DAS installation. Their solution's revenue would be shared with the school and they would pay for maintenance and monthly costs. Has anybody on the list setup one of these DAS solutions and if you have are you happy or dissatisfied with the results. -- Nicholas Urrea Information Technology UC Hastings College of the Law San Francisco, CA, 94102 [email protected] ext: 4718 ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/. ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/.
