Interesting how the people voicing the concerns are the same people who should be able to answer that question. I'm not familiar with the equipment, but would it be out of the range of possibilities to setup a controlled experiment (one with predictable or known outcomes) with an AP in the room and see if it screws up the results? Or are they worried about damaging the equipment somehow?
