I saw you guys talking about the Wii in another post about interference and wanted to confirm that the Wii needs 2 Mb data rates to connect. I had disabled b mode which automatically changes the min data rate on my APs to 6 Mbs. Even though the Wii has a G card it would not connect until I enabled b which automatically sets the min rate to 1 Mb. For me it looks like I have to keep b enabled if the Wii are to connect. I asked the vendor if we could allow a lower data rate that 6 Mbs if b mode is disabled. Waiting to hear back. There may be a command line option. I have found that if I disable protection mode on G that I get max data throughput, i.e. 22 Mbs. If I enable protection mode on G I only get 6-9 Mbs even if there is no b device connected.
