I agree with Brian and James. I just finished reading it through in preparation for taking the CWNA and it is very informative. The only problem I have with is it is a little dated. Published in 2009 many of technologies that were drafts are now ratified (802.11n particularly) and new ones are coming soon, like 802.11ac. Still, a good book to have.

James,
May want to invest in the latest CWNA book . This will give you much of
the background in RF and theory was well that vendors more than times miss.

All,

I'm looking for a good book on current wireless tech that covers more
theory and RF then vendor specific implementations. I'm working on a
deployment, and we have vendor training lined up, but wanted to dig
into some more of the RF side before getting bogged down into vendor
knob location brain dumps...

Thanks in advance.
