At Weber State our in house developers wrote an application that records the 
location of hourly workers clocking in if they are doing so over wireless. 

When development started there wasn't a single API call to get the current 
location based on IP address, but I believe such a function was added in the 
latest version.

Feel free to ping me off list if you have more questions but keep in mind that 
I'm a wireless guy and not a developer so I'll have to play go-between.
