Julian, I have a script that uses eapol_test from the wpa_supplicant package to simulate 802.1X authentications from a wired linux box and measure the response time. It also sends an e-mail alert if there is a problem with the authentication. It's crude, but it works.
Information eapol_test can be found here: http://deployingradius.com/scripts/eapol_test/ -Neil -- Neil Johnson Network Engineer The University of Iowa Phone: 319 384-0938 Fax: 319 335-2951 Mobile: 319 540-2081 E-Mail: [email protected] On 2/22/13 6:42 AM, "Julian Y Koh" <[email protected]> wrote: >I know this isn't really a wireless issue per se, but what are people >using/doing, if anything, to monitor the performance and availability of >their authentication services?
