Because APs are a source of heat and potentially light, we have had requests from our Physics and Astronomy Departments that APs not be placed in certain temperature controlled and "dark" areas. Some researchers on the medical campus have also inquired about the effects of APs in their vicinity, but have not formally requested no installation or removal yet, so I think it is potentially a problem depending on the requirements of any particular research area.

We're getting rumblings out of our Physics department - they are trying to prevent APs from getting installed in their area because of what they say are highly sensitive devices that will be adversely affected. My personal opinion is....well, I'll withhold that for now. Anyone gone through this? Thanks in advance! -- Julian Y.
