We are running code 7.3.101.0 and have over 160 3602i/e AP’s and issues
identified as of yet. Many have been installed for over 6months. We have some
our own area with a range of Windows, Mac and Linux clients…. Not to forget
just about every mobile device.
When you mention difficulty maintaining connection are is it a couple of
dropouts a day, consistently having issues where it has a major impact on users
or somewhere in between? We certainly see the occasional disconnect, but you
tend to reconnect pretty quick. I don’t believe this is limited to 3602 AP’s
either

We had planned to move to 7.4 but then held off for 7.5 with the improvements
to mdns. For now though we have no plans to change software until the end of
the year. 7.3 has been stable, and while the additional features would be great
there’s no requirement as such right now….. and we have bigger projects to take
care of.

Also we will be moving to PI 2.0, so 7.5 is out of the question until 2.1 comes
out but the next controller code will probably be out then too

Has anyone else that installed 3602i/e’s experienced similar issues where
wireless clients are having difficulty maintaining a wireless connection?

Thanks,
Jeff

We are currently running 7.4.100.60 on a 5508. Over the summer, we actually
introduced some new 3602i APs into our environment as well.

Everything was working well until our students returned and placed a more
significant load on system. At that point, many wi ndows clients seemed to have
difficulty maintaining a connection.

After further investigation, and tinkering around with a few settings as well
as a couple of TAC calls, we decided to remove the 3602i APs and swap them out
for 3502i APs to see what impact it would have.

As soon as we did so, the client issues were resolved. I would be interested to
hear how other folks are doing on 7.5.
